Raiders Take Pair From Gilmore

Seven Hills' girls basketball teams proved to be rude hosts Wedensday as the Nevada City school swept a Nevada County Athletic League doubleheader from visiting Lyman Gilmore.

In the 8th grade contest, Sammy Dehart, Becca Hofheinz and Callie Kraus all hit for 13 points apiece to help lift the Raiders to a 57-19 win over the Bombers.

Seven Hills is now 1-1 in NCAL games and will play at Pleasant Valley next Tuesday in its next NCAL action.

Seven Hills 7th 20 Gilmore 14 - After a tight first half which saw the two teams tied at 12-12, the Raiders turned up the defensive pressure and limited Gilmore to just two second half points.

Top scorers for the Raiders were Margaret Whitlock and Jessica Preece with five points apiece.
