Area I TOC Action Opens Tonight

District 11 Little League Tournament of Champions play begins for Area I teams today at Beggs Field in Auburn.

Four leagues – Auburn, Lincoln, Tri-City and Rocklin – will send two teams apiece into the single elimination area format.

Monday’s games will have the Tri-City Red Sox (17-3), their league’s A team, taking on the Rocklin Orioles, the Rocklin LL”s B team at 5 p.m.

In the second game at 7:30 p.m., Auburn’s A team will play the Lincoln A’s, Lincoln’s B team.

On Tuesday, Lincoln’s Cardinals (19-1) will meet Auburn’s B team at 5 p.m. followed by the Rocklin Mets, the Rocklin league A team, and the Tri-City Yankees, the league’s B team,  at 7:30 p.m.

Second round winner’s bracket games are slated for Wed. June 25 followed by the Area I championship game on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Game I of the championship series between the Area I amd II winners then begins this Friday, June 27 at Bear River starting at 7 p.m.

Game II then is set for Saturday at 7 p.m. in Auburn with a Game III if necessary slated for Sunday also at 7 p.m. at Bear River.
