Bear River Opens With Win Over Nevada City

 

The Bear River Little League 9-10-year-old All Star Team opened District 11 Tournament play Tuesday night with an impressive 13-5 win over Nevada City at the Tri-City Little League Complex in Rocklin.

Bear River was sparked on the mound by Bear Belding who pitched a solid 3 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Meanwhile, Ryan Wagner and David O'Brien both added solid relief work to preserve the victory.

Bear River’s bats were also lively picking up a total of 13 hits with
Justus Stratton stroking a double and a triple and David O'Brien, Shane
Anderson, Ryan Wagner and Bear Belding all adding two hits apiece.

Dallas Penn also contributed three key RBIs for the winners.

With the win, Bear River will now face defending District 11 champion and host Tri Cities Thursday night in Rocklin.
