Bear River A's Top GV Phillies, 5-1

The Bear River A's followed a strong pitching performance by Mikey Rubio to get on their way to notching a 5-1 District 11major division interlock win over the Grass Valley Angels.

Rubio was in complete command on the hill as he pitched five innings and allowed just one hit while fanning 14 batters. Tanner Clapper pitched the sixth frame for the A's and preserved the win.

In the hitting department, Trace Anderson (2x2), Rubio (2x3, 2B) and Jaden Gravatt with a RBI single led the way.

Austin Teague and Harry Zea also contributed hits for the winners. Rubio also made a fine double play tage safter snaring a line drive to end the game.
