March 31, 2009 Bear River A'S, Dodgers Battle to 12-12 Tie In an exciting early season Bear River Little League majors division game, the Bear River A’s and Dodgers battled to a 12-12 tie Monday night in a game which was halted by the league’s curfew rule. The contest was a see-saw affair with the lead changing hands back and forth all evening long. The A’s, who played a solid defensive game with only one error on the night, had four pitchers toe the rubber with Nick O'Conner going 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and 6 runs while fanning five. Also pitching for the A’s were Drew Cramer, 2 innings, 3 hits, 5 runs and one strikeout; Dayton Anderson, 1 inning, 1 hit, 1 run, 2 K'sAnd Hunter Cramer, 1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 2 K's. At the plate the A’s were led by Anderson who was 2X2 with 2 walks and 2 RBIS; Hunter Cramer who went 2X4 with two triples and a pair of RBIs;Nick O'Conner with a 3X3 effort which included a home run and 2 RBIS; Luke Burtt who was 2X2 with a double and a RBI and Trevor Bisquano and Adian Ginn who each went 1x3. David O’Brien topped the A’s pitchers with four Ks in two innings of work. Ryan Wagner also shined with three whiffs in one frame on the mound. Leading hitters for the Dodgers included O'Brien who was 2X3 with a double and RBI; Shane Anderson with a double; Wyatt Mitzel with a 2x3 effort including a triple and RBI and Tony Bianchi and Justus Stratton each with one hit. |
