Bear River Cardinals Slip By A's

Strong hitting from Scotty Sandstedt and solid relief pitching from Logan Lowe helped lead the Bear River Cardinals to a 6-5 win over the Bear River A’s in District 11 major division Little League baseball action.

Sandstedt starred at the plate with a double and home run spicing a 2x3 afternoon while teammates Lowe went 2x3 and Payton Turner.

Lowe was also on target in a relief pitching stint that saw the Cards hurler pick up a two-inning save by allowing no hits and no runs and fanning four batters.

For the A’s, Hayden Piner and Drew Cramer combined for seven strikeouts on the mound while at the plate Trace Anderson (2x3), Hayden Piner (1x3, 2B) and Brandon Murphy (1x2) led the way.

A’s catcher Anderson also had a good defensive game by throwing out a pair of would be Cards base stealers.
