"Shoot For Christian" Tourney At Union Hill

If you like to play 3-On-3 Hoops, the Union Hill School Gym in Grass Valley will be the place to be on Sunday, March 7.

The big event will be the 4th anuual "Shoot For Christian" 3-On-3 basketball tournament which will be open to teams ranging in ages from 12-14 and 15 years and above.

Entry fee is $75 per team with 16 teams expected to fill each bracket in the double elimination format affair. Registration also includes a tourney t-shirt or hat plus a mini basketball hoop.

Deadline to sign up for the tourney is March 1. Trophies will be awarded to the top teams in each division. The tournament is played in memory of Christian Straub who was 12 when he lost his life in a tragic auto accident. Funds raised by the tournament help support local youth sports programs.
