Thanks to last Friday's 42-7 win by Roseville over previously undefeated Del Oro and their own win over Foothill, 35-8, the Bruins -who have won 32 of their last 33 games at the JV level, leapfrogged both Colfax and Del Oro to take the top ranking. But life at the top may not be all rosy for Bear River. Friday night at Lake of the Pines, the Bruins (4-0, 8-1) risk their top rating when they entertain No. 2 Colfax which is also 4-0 and 8-1 for the Pioneer Valley League championship.
