Del Oro's JV team, has evidenced by its 34-8 rout of previously No. 2 Nevada Union, solidifed its grip on the No. 1 spot in the JV poll. Del Oro, now 7-0 on the season and winners in 17 straight games over two seasons, play Granite Bay Friday in Loomis at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, in the freshman poll, more by default, Colfax's 7-0 Falocns make it to the top after previously No. 1 Nevada Union was stunned last week by Del Oro, 30-8. Here's this week's new rankings: JV 1. Del Oro (7-0) - Moore, Kainrath, Nargussi & Co. throttled NU. 2.Colfax (6-1) - Falcons move up after blankin of Foothill. At Placer Friday. 3.Bear River (6-1) - Key PVL game Friday at Lincoln. 4.Nevada Union (5-2) - Miners couldn't sustain drives against DO. 5.Placer (2-5) - Fumble return for touchdown cost game vs. Lincoln. Frosh 1.Colfax (7-0) - No superstars but Falcons keep winning. 2. Nevada Union (4-3) - Key injuries stymied Miners against Del Oro 3. Placer (3-4) - Hillmen dropped 38-33 shootout to Lincoln. 4.Del Oro (2-5) - Golden Eagles move up with win. 5.Bear River (4-3) - Bruins blasted at Vista del Lago, 30-8.
