Crush Continue Winning Spike Ways
The Nevada County Crush a, 14 and under competitive club volleyball team, kept up its winning ways with their third consecutive league tournament victory last weekend.
Playing in an 11-team division in a tourney held at Cal Expo, the Crush went 5-1 in pool action before the Crush posted two exciting wins in the semi-finals and finals to leave the Capitol City with first place honors.
In the semi-finals, the Crush turned back fellow Nevada County foe Gold Cow, 25-2, 25-23.
That win launched the Crush into the championship match where the Nevada County spikers battled a tough High Impact squad from Roseville tooth and nail beofe pulling out a 23-25, 25-23, 15-11 win for the crown.
