Lady Rattlers Tame Warriors

Magnolia’s girls 8th grade basketball team stayed on its game Wednesday afternoon by taming the visiting Weimar Hills Warriors, 43-25 in Nevada County Athletic League action.

The win pushed Magnolia’s NCAL mark to a perfect 7-0 and kept the Lady Rattlers perfect on the season at 10-0.

In Wednesday’s win, the Magnolia defense led by Cindy Soloman, Olivia Konttinen, Sarah Hagar and Sara Schell, proved tough as they allowed Weimar Hills just two points in the third quarter.

Topping the offense for the winners were  Soloman with 10 points, Hagard with nine and Schell and Savannah Welz with six each.
