Gardner’s 20 points sparks Gilmore win

Cody Gardner peppered the hoop for 20 points Tuesday afternoon to help lead the Gilmore boys 8th grade basketball team to a 67-39 win over Forest Lake Christian in a game played on the Falcons' court.

The win for the Bombers raises Gilmore’s Nevada County Athletic League record to 7-4 and keeps the Green and Black in the hunt for one of the NCAL’s top playoff seeds for the season ending league tournament next week.

Following Gardner in the scoring column for Gilmore were Ian Davis with 14 points, Cody Manes with 10 and Trevor Bryant and Nate Dickinson with eight points each.

Gilmore ends its regular season Tuesday by hosting Pleasant Valley.
