IIn the JV poll, Del Oro (5-0) remained No. 1 in the aera following its runaway 42-14 win over Oakmont last Friday. The frosh poll, however, has a different look as Nevada Union, despite suffering a 20-14 loss at undefeated Yuba City, remains ahead of the pack with a 3-1 mark. This week's poll: JV 1.Del Oro (5-0) - Golden Eagles getting excellent defensive work from Brendan Johnson, Daniel Becker, Jake Noah and Jahann Nargussi. 2.Nevada Union (4-1) - Miners head into bye coming off big win over Elk Grove. 3.Colfax (3-1) - Falcons play unusual Thursday night game at Wheatland. 4.Bear River (4-1) - It took a fake punt for a long touchdown to end Bruins' 25-game win streak. 5. Placer (1-3) - After tough opening games, Hillmen showed life in win over Woodland. Frosh 1.Nevada Union (3-1) - Tough 20-14 loss at the hands of undefeated Yuba City marred by 100 yards worth of Miners' penalties. 2.Colfax (4-0) - Despite not having leading rusher who was moved to JVs, Fallcons still rolled Davis, 27-6. 3.Placer (2-2) - Cole Blackwell ran wild (6 TDs) in win over Woodland. 4.Bear River (3-2) - Bruins drop after being handled by River Valley. 5.Del Oro (1-4) - Golden Eagles break through for first win.
