Josey Poppin dishes to Sierra Williams during Forest Lake's victory over Seven Hills in 8th grade basketball action.

Union Hill Sinks Weimar, 37-28

Union Hill used the three-point shooting of Lauren Mickel to help get the Bearcats' 8th grade girls team past Weimar Hills, 37-28, in Nevada County Athletic League 8th grade action on Thursday.

Mickel connected on four three point goals to finish with a game high 14 points for UH. Erin Selleck added nine points for the winners while Janette Williams scored six.

Magnolia 7th 31 Gilmore 21 - Jessica Meylor's hustling defense and 11 points helped spark Magnolia's 7th grade team to the 10-point win over the Bombers.

Taylor Autrey chipped in with 10 markers for the winners while Michelle Whiting scored eight and Malone Pearson two.

Forest Lake 53 Seven Hills 12 - Forest Lake's 8th grade girls basketball team knocked off Seven Hills 53-12 in recent NCAL action.

The Falcons were led by Aly English with 12 points, Josey Poppin chipped in 10, Emily Pearce and Jenna Oberg with 8 points and Melanie O'Brien added 7.

Ali Aragon led Seven Hills with 6 points and Gabby added 5.
