Seven Hills Tops Gilmore In OT Thriller

For the 2nd time in as many Nevada County Athletic League girls basketball meetings, the Seven Hills Raiders were just one point better than the Gilmore Bombers, this time 32-31 in overtime.

In a contest that was intense from the tip off, the two teams traded leads throughout. Seven Hills got two big three pointers from point guard Jessica Preece and a clutch hoop from forward Delilah Giblin who also came up with some important rebounds late in the game. But no basket was more clutch than Cassidy Balzer's three point shot that came with only a minute left in overtime and gave the home team a three point lead.

Gilmore got a late basket from Madison right before time expired to cut the lead to one. Seven Hills was lead in scoring by Preece who had 8 points, Olivia Perata with 6, Mairi Jo Jones with 5, and Jaycee Hopkins added 4. Gilmore got 7 point each from Ella, Gracie, and Jessica, while Madison added 6.
