Raiders Reign

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER - The Seven Hills boys 8th grade basketball team displays the "spoils of victory" from their fine 2008-09 season. Especially prevelant in the photo is Hank Humphers, center, who is holding the Nevada County Athletic League Perpetual Trophy which was put back in circulation this season after years of not being awarded. The trophy goes annually to the school which captures the regular season championship of the NCAL. This season, Seven Hills was the 8th grade winner while Weimar Hills won the 7th grade trophy. Recent past trophy winners in the 8th grade division include: 2008- Magnolia; 2007 - Seven Hills; 2006 - Magnolia; 2005 - Union Hill; 2004 - Weimar Hills; 2003 - Gilmore; 2002- Pleasant Valley.
