Bear River Dodgers still cruisin'

The BR Affordable Real Estate Loans Dodgers continue to stay undefeated > in the Little League major division ranks after battling the PV Dodgers and NC Yankees.

Dallas Penn held the PV Dodgers scoreless in the first 4 frames and he struck out 10 batters and allowing only 2 walks in his no hit performance.

Ryan Wagner closed the final 2 innings with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks allowing only a single hit.

The Bear River Dodgers put 2 runs on the board in the 1st inning as Caden McGowen, Juston Stratton, and Shane Anderson all had hits.

Bear River added runs in the 2nd and 3rd as they went on to beat Penn Valley 4-1. Stratton finished the game going 2X2, David O'Brien 1X2, and Shane Anderson getting on the base path twice for Bear River.

Bear River Dodgers 9 Nevada City Yankees 3 -Caden "K-Den" McGowen took the mound for the BR Dodgers vs the Nevada City Yankees striking out 10 of the first 12 batters he faced as he finished his 5 inning performance allowing just 4 hits with 11 strike outs, and no walks.

David O'Brien had the closer roll as he shut the Yankees down 1-2-3 in the 6th. The game was knotted 0-0 for the first two innings untill the Dodgers found activity from their offense in the 3rd inning plating 3 runs and adding 4 more in the 4th.

Leading the Dodgers at the plate were Tony "T-Man" Bianchi with a double and a single, Ryan Wagner was 1X1 finding himself on the bases 3 times on the day. K-Den was 1X3 with an inside the park home run and Qincy "Q-Ball" Schram found the base path twice.

The Yankees threatened in the 5th inning putting 3 runs on the board. The Dodgers were able to add 2 insurance runs with great base running by Dallas Penn and Wagner to secure a 9-3 victory. The Bear River Dodgers move their record to 6-0 allowing only eight runs on the year.
