Sierra Foothills 9-10s Meet Penn Valley Today

Sierra Foothills Little League’s 9-10 year-old All-Stars will open the District 11 Tournament today at Tri-City Little League Park in Rocklin by meeting Penn Valley in the first game of the 10-team double elimination affair.

The tournament bracket – originally a two site event scheduled for both Tri-City and Foresthill – was condensed into one tournament when the Foresthill playing field was lost because it is being used as a command post for fire fighter’s in the area.

Sierra Foothills’ 9-10s are being managed this season by Bob Vrooman. The assistant coaches are Brett Boblitt and Windell Smith. Here’s the 2008 9-10 All-Star team listed by what team the player played for in the regular season:
