With teammates Nick Hasert and Ben Anderson, left, providing escort, Mt. St. Mary's defensive back Ben Kaupt heads to the end zone on a 50-yard pass interception return in Tuesday's Nevada County Athletic League flag football action at Seven Hills. Kaupt's key pick off proved to be pivotal in the game as it provided the winning points in the Eagles' 20-19 win over the Raiders. The loss was the first this season for Seven Hills which finished undefeated against teams with only 7th graders on their roster. Mt. St. Mary's, meanwhile, laid claim to the league title with a 8-1 record. Standouts in the win for Mt. St. Mary's included Michael Buonarati, who threw a touchdown pass to Hasert and also tallied a key two-point conversion run. Meanwhile, Dom Guiliani, Allie Lima, Kellen Lake and Hasert all stood out on the defensive line in the win.
