Week 1 JV-Frosh Action

Nevada Union JV quarterback Kyle Cota picks up yardage on a keeper in action from Friday's 28-14 loss to McQueen of Reno. Cota tossed a 25-yard scoring pass to Jared Cook for one of the Miners' scores while Ian Davis accounted for the other on a long kickoff return. NU plays at Ponderosa on Friday in Shingle Springs.

Colfax High JV running back Austin Perry breaks free in action from last week's game at El Camino. Perry picked up 67 yards rushing and scored a touchdown but the Falcons dropped a 28-14 contest. Colfax hosts Del Oro today, Sept. 2, at Marson Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

Bear River's Michael Raigoza (3) and Andrew Harris close in on a Cordova JV runner in game action from last Friday at Bear River. The Bruins opened the season with a 38-6 win and will host Capital Christian on Friday at 5:30 p.m. obfoto.com
