1. Del Oro (8-0) – Golden Eagles built big 27-7 halftime over Woodcreek lead behind Russell Smith, Nick O’Sullivan, Blake Covey and Scott Westlake. Second half was battle of penalties as Golden Eagles prevailed, 27-14.
2. Bear River (8-0) – As expected, Bruins blasted Mesa Verde. Lincoln should be victim No. 9 Friday.
3. Colfax (7-1) – Falcons routed Highlands, 36-6. Face 7-1 Placer in what should be good match-up Friday.
4. Placer (7-1) – Hillmen bounced back with 35-20 win over Lincoln.
5. Nevada Union 5-3 – Miners play tough Elk Grove Friday.
