The new website - foothillpreps.com - will provide a daily place where youth, middle school and high school sports will be covered in both western Nevada County and eastern Placer County. The objective is to provide a fun and interactive style of reporting for both youth and prep sports news and to recognize the accomplishments of the young athletes in our foothills area. At the same time we will also be providing an advertising outlet for the business communities of these areas.
Coverage of Events
The huge growth in recent years of both high school, junior high and youth sports both at the recreational and competitive levels have made it a burden for the traditional media to cover them all. By interacting through the web with leagues, coaches and parents, daily scores, updates, standings and photos will be available on a daily basis for players, fans, parents, relatives and sports enthusiasts alike.

Each week a specific team will be recognized as the foothillpreps.com team of the week. Special feature stories on players and coaches will also be featured.
